West Suburban Chapter

St. Kate's West Suburban Alumnae Chapter invites you to enjoy a Family Picnic in the Park during Excelsior Crazy Days, the signature summer event!
After the picnic we will explore beautiful downtown Excelsior during it's annual Crazy Days Fair, enjoy swimming, paddle boarding, historic boat tours and more. RSVP to kapovo@stkate.edu.

Connect with Katies and give back to your community. This year, we will return to Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners to volunteer as part of the Citizen Katie campaign. For more information, contact Kelly Povo at kapovo@stkate.edu.

Student and alumna Pizza Party send-off. Join us as we celebrate new and returning St. Kate's students from the Rochester area. Guests are welcome.

Citizen Katie Day.  Volunteer with Rochester and Winona area Katies to prepare and/or serve lunch for patients at the Gift of Life Transplant House. Choose how you would like to participate from the following options:  prepare a main dish, salad or dessert and deliver by noon, serve the meal, clean-up or contribute financially. Saturday, July 19
Great River Shakespeare Festival and Marine Art Museum Tour.  Join alumnae and guests for a day in Winona! Special 10 a.m. tour of the Minnesota Marine Art Museum with Kathy Daniels ’73, director of the Catherine G. Murphy Gallery. This world-class museum includes works by Monet, Gauguin, Cassatt and Van Gogh.  After the tour we will hear an inspiring lecture on Hamlet by Margery Smith CSJ, ’49, faculty emerita, while we enjoy lunch in a private room at a local restaurant. We will end the day with a 2 p.m. performance of Hamlet at the Great River Shakespeare Festival.  Please join us for any or all of these events!

11:30 a.m. lecture and lunch only, $22

A Jazzy Chicago Summer NIght at Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, "Ella, Louis and All That Jazz"
Alumnae and guests are invited to enjoy a summer concert in the park. Jeff Tyzik and the Grant Park Orchestra pay tribute to Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, featuring the sultry voice of Marva Hicks and the hot brass of Byron Stripling. Join Kansas City Katies in welcoming Kathy Daniels '73, Director of the Catherine G. Murphy Gallery and the Traveling Scholar group to Kansas City. Mary Carey '63 will host this reception in her Brookside area home. Following the reception we will walk across the street to the Nelson-Atkins art gallery for a tour of the sculpture gardens. Event is free but please RSVP to Kelly Povo by October 18.
