Citizen Katie Day. Connect with Katies and give back to your community on this St. Catherine University National Day of Service. Our group will volunteer for Friends of the Wissahickon,  a non-profit dedicated to preserving the beauty and wildness of the Wissahickon Valley. We will work with a volunteer coordinator from 9am to 1pm.  Wear work shoes and long pants.  Gloves, tools and water will be provided.  Exact meeting place (on or near Forbidden Drive in Northwestern corner of Philadelphia near Chestnut Hill) will be provided in advance. Naples

Citizen Katie Day in Naples. Thursday, October 16, 9 a.m.-noon. Connect with Katies and give back to your community on this St. Catherine University National Day of Service. Our group will volunteer at the Harry Chapin Food Bank, whose mission is to overcome hunger by procurement and  distribution of food, equitably and without discrimination. We will be working in the warehouse;  sorting, packing, inspecting and sanitizing food items to prepare donations to be distributed. RSVP to Kelly Povo by October 10. Further details and directions will be sent with your RSVP confirmation.

Conversation with Books. Friday, February 27,  2015. Join us for this fun and favorite St. Kate’s tradition for book lovers. Panelists Ruth Haag Brombach ’60, Judith Martens Flahavan ’60 and Mary Jo Ryan Richardson ’52 host the event with a lively discussion on a variety of recently published books. This is a perfect opportunity to put together your reading list for 2015! Location: The Club at Olde Cypress. Cost: $20, includes reading list, refreshments and event.

Volunteer to work at Light the Night Walk, a non-profit event which funds patient support services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and promising cancer research. Please note: we will not be walking at this event, we will be volunteering. We will meet at 13th Street NW and Pennsylvania NW in Washington, D.C. at 1 p.m. More details sent with your RSVP confirmation.
